Thank you in advance for wanting to volunteer at the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission. We welcome individuals, families, church and school groups, as well as business groups. We hope your time here as a volunteer is enjoyable and productive as you work to engage in our community, and create an impact in the lives of others.

Life Builders and Transformers Programs
  • Provide food

Dental & Medical Clinics
  • Dental volunteer
  • Help in clinic
  • Provide special programs: nutrition classes, diabetes awareness, fitness discussion, etc.
  • Greet patients
Thrift Store
  • Sort, hang, tag and display items
  • Arrange shelves
  • Assist with special sales
  • Repair electronics, appliances and bikes to prepare them for sale
Clothing Ministry
  • Assist in special projects
  • Hang and tag clothes
  • Interview customers
  • Checkout clients
  • Greeters
Food Pantry
  • Collect food items
  • Sort food and make food boxes

Host a Drive
  • Collect clothing, coats, hats, gloves, socks, underwear, towels and twin blankets from friends and neighbors
  • Collect nonperishable items for the Food Pantry

The Dental Clinic will be closed until January 10, 2019.
The Winston-Salem Rescue Mission will be temporarily suspending all activities at our Alpha Acres facility in Yadkin county. This temporary suspension will allow the Rescue Mission to review and update the Alpha Acres mens recovery program. This is only a Temporary suspension of operations at Alpha Acres. The WSRM greatly appreciates the continued support of all our friends and donors, and your patience during this temporary change.
