Giving
“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will He pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17
The easiest way to support the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission is by giving a gift of cash. You can write a check and mail it to the address below. Your gift will go to work immediately to meet the needs of the homeless who come to the Mission for help. A receipt will be sent to you promptly acknowledging your tax-deductible gift. You may also use your credit card to make a tax-deductible donation to the Rescue Mission by calling Anne Parsons at (336) 723-1848, Extension 112. As a Winston-Salem Rescue Mission donor, you may be able to double your contribution through your employer's matching gift program. Check with your employer to see if such a program exists. In some cases, even retired employees qualify to participate in their former employer's matching gift program.

Vehicle Donations
You can donate your used vehicle to the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission. If your donated car or truck does not fit a specific need at the Mission, we will sell it, and the proceeds will go toward supporting the ministry. For more information on donating a car or truck, please call Coble Fonville at (336) 723-1848 Extension 108.
Gifts in Kind
The Winston-Salem Rescue Mission gratefully receives donations of food, clothing, and toiletry items for use in our ministry. Additionally, usable appliances, furniture, and household items can be donated. These items are collected and sold at the Mission's two thrift stores. One hundred percent of the proceeds from our thrift store sales helps to fund Mission services and programs. To arrange a pick-up or to find out where to drop off your donation, please call (336) 723-1848, Extension 101 from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Memorials and Tributes
Many people are discovering the joy of giving a gift to the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission in memory or recognition of a loved one or friend. Such a gift fulfills the desire to memorialize or honor an individual and at the same time provides the satisfaction of knowing that their money given is helping to further God's work among the homeless, poor, and destitute. When we receive your memorial or tribute gift, we will immediately send a card to the person or family of the one you have memorialized or honored. In addition, your names will be included in the next edition of our quarterly newsletter.
