New Life Center Transformers Program - Part I
Everett was able to lead a somewhat normal life all while battling years of substance abuse issues until the drinking, marijuana, crack cocaine and eventually jail time, all came to a head. After decades of living in the clutches of addiction, Everett used for the last time on June 22, 2007. He realized he needed a new start for his life; that is when he came to the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission. After completing several mission programs, Everett got his G.E.D. and participated in a graduation ceremony at Wake Forest University. The once unthinkable goal of going to college and obtaining his degree is now a real possibility.
